Dr. Wendy Dearixon is a native of Houston. She received her undergraduate education in Biochemistry at Texas A&M University and her veterinary degree from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Dearixon is actively involved with the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Feline Practitioners, American Ferret Society and is active with Christian Veterinary Mission.
Dr. Dearixon spends her free time horseback riding, jogging, and otherwise enjoying the great outdoors with her family. Her husband, John Vandermeer, is also a veterinarian, and they have three children, Emily, Marshall and Hannah- all Aggies! They share their home with 4 dogs Pedro, Lola, Dale and Ricky Bobby, and also two cats, Duke and Kip. On their ranch in Ennis, they have 4 horses named Waylon, Jones, Fred and Zach.
